Do you love Rhysand and his way with words? Did you wish you got to read a book about just Feyre and Rhysand without Tamlin? What about Vampires instead of Illyrian warriors?

If you said yes to many of these questions then this is the book for you. I’ll be honest when I started reading this book I was hesitant but because I was gifted the book I had to give it a fighting chance. With me being very picky on how I like my vampires this book had a lot to live up to. This author knocked it out of the park however. This high action tale where being different isn’t a bad thing it’s a challenge. But learning about a world you lived blindly in is just the beginning.

Oriya, daughter of the king, is human in a world of blood sucking vampires. She sets off to win a quest to define all odds and become like her vampire father but not everything goes as it should. She meets Rhian, a vampire last of his kind who goes through her to try to win but at what cost? She meets people who feel more like family than her own father as questions rise in her mind.

Oriya is one of those characters who feels so authentic and real, she constantly is evolving and trying to do the right thing and her fire is even more of a god sent to her. Her sarcasm makes me laugh uncontrollably and to this day I started my own.

I truly enjoyed each of the challenges as they each seem to test a different part of their own beliefs and you get to dive into each character through it. The enemy to lovers aspect was quite enjoyable as we truly watch her shell break down and she begins to trust him because of the actions he made not because of looks or sweet words.

The book to me seemed like ACOTAR in so many ways, with just little things changed. The characters and the events of this book were little flash backs for me.

The spice in this book is perfect and yet long, I didn’t realize you could write smut in so many words (don’t laugh). I was at least happy that the tension was built and the scene was well placed.

I have so many questions ones that I am sure will and wont be answered next book but I can't wait to see what betrayal of the heart and mind turn into.

Spoiler Review- Kingdom of the Feared

Kingdom of the Feared Review

Title: Kingdom of the Feared (Book 3 of Kingdom of the Wicked)

Author: Kerri Maniscalco

Rating: ★★★★

Genre: Historical Fantasy, Paranormal Fiction

Many asked and I couldn't help but oblige so here is my SPOILER review for this beautiful book. As posted on my Instagram I rated Kingdom of Feared SECOND to Kingdom of the Wicked. There are many amazing things in this book that sang to me as a reader and a few things that I felt could have made it better. for the most part this book was exactly how I expected. Mystery. Love. Power. Finding your true self and much more. Lets dive into the specific details that set this book so high.

We pick up right where we left off, with Emelia ending up on the bed after agreeing to marry Wrath, King of the Realms. Emelia is dragged off into a secondary world where her sister, Vitoria is waiting with her new companion as she reveals a place for Emelia to meet her dead sister. Emelia is left unsure of herself and the world she has grown to love. Wrath as her new husband is left to find the holes in their marriage and terms to help Emelia letting her make the choices she went for herself.

In this book we see a different side of Wrath, one that many can't decide if it suits him or if it was one that was always on the surface. To me; he does a 180 from the hard, loving badass we all loved in the first two books to this soft loveable king that many adored. The transformation was so fast

This book brought the series to a fantastic close but left the readers with a curious question. Now that Emelia and Wrath's story has come to an end.. What about the other characters we met? Luckily we get that answer, In Late 2022 Kerri announced via Instagram that Throne of the Fallen will be released in 2023 and we get to follow our other Wicked Price, Envy as we learn exactly how wicked this price can be.

As a debut novel, this book checked all the boxes. It was fast paced and full of action and THE BANTER!!!! I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed the banter alone. The characters from page one had my jaw on the floor and me missing them whenever I put the book down. AND IT HAS DRAGONS! A BADASS HEROINE AND DRAGONS.  WHAT COULD BE A BETTER MATCH— oh wait add a commanding general who will kill anyone that hurts you.

This book follows Elowen, a lost princess who is on the path to not only regaining what her father stole from her but the five dragons she left behind. But living a life where everyone thinks you’re dead can bring out a dark side of the past. But when she is handed a golden opportunity to align with Cayden, a commander who also has a common enemy she takes a risk to take back what is hers but finds a few other things along the way. Discovering her own power, a bond that she knew one day could destroy her, and a link with someone who she fears the least with.

I can honestly say that this books was so much fun to read. The tension, the quotes, the storyline, each page was something new and I never found myself lost. The spice was on point as the tension built up and my gosh I never wanted more banter in my life than I do now that I have read this book.

Typically when you read about a lost princess you always see the dainty one who doesn’t want to get her hands dirty. Here you see one that will kill and torture anyone in her way to get her crown, her kingdom and her dragons back. Elowen and Cayden may have unleashed the dragons but she will burn the world until she gets what she is owed.

Book two is yet to be released but I can tell you this; I am ready for preorder.
